As former Special Assistant to President Joe Biden and the longtime chief speechwriter for First Lady Jill Biden, Amber has played a pivotal role in shaping some of the most impactful political speeches of recent years. She currently serves as Managing Director & Co-Head of Executive Communications at SKDK, where she continues to shape the narrative for executives and public figures, helping them communicate with authenticity and power.

Amber’s career in public service includes serving as a top speechwriter for high-profile figures such as Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and Congressman Jim McDermott. In these roles, she skillfully translated complex policy issues into compelling narratives that resonated with diverse audiences. At HHS, Amber developed critical messaging for the Delivery System Reform initiative and was an integral strategist behind several major campaigns promoting the Affordable Care Act.
