Dr. Dan Qi is an Assistant Professor at Lamar University. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and her M.P.A. from Southern Utah University. Dr. Qi’s areas of specialization center on American Politics and research methods. She offers several classes, which include American political behavior, research methods, and courses in Master of Public Administration. She maintains an active and diverse research agenda in political behavior and identity politics, especially in Election studies, Asian American Politics, and immigration politics. She has also conducted wide-ranging ongoing research in gender politics, news media and government, public opinion, and political economy.
